During the 2013 celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Society, one photo will be highlighted each week from the Don Peasley collection, beginning with the year1963.

This series profiles a historical photograph from the society's collection, as it relates to current events & activities at the Museum. This series will continue in 2014.

The Dairy Promotion Council consisted of a group of local milk producers, distributers, store owners, restaurant owners, and news and media representatives who donated countless hours to the dairy promotion cause. The following year there was a 25% increase in milk consumption in the county. That same year over 60,000 visitors celebrated the Harvard Milk Days and enjoyed the benefits of cold, fresh milk. The Dairy Promotion Council's marketing and publicity efforts had successfully boosted the sale of dairy products in McHenry County.
